Shami Kabab Masala

Ingredient

“Red Chilli, Salt, Cumin, Coriander, Cinnamon, Ginger, Garlic, Onion, Big Cardamom, Clove, Black Pepper, Acid (Citric Acid), Caraway, Bay Leaves”

Serving Suggestion

Serve hot shami kababs with naan, roti, pullao, salad and sauce of your choice. Serving for 6 – 8 people. (1 packet 50g)

Preparation Time

1 hour 25 minutes.

Steps of cooking

  1. Add washed yellow split lentil, Mehran Garlic & Ginger Paste, 1 sliced onion and Mehran Shami Kabab Masala to the minced meat with 5 glasses of water. Cover and cook on low heat for about an hour until meat becomes tender.
  2. Increase heat and dry the mixture until 1/2 cup liquid remains in the pot.
  3. Grind the meat mixture into coarse and smooth paste, add 1 chopped onion, green chilli, mint, green coriander and whisked eggs. Knead well and make 25 at kababs.
  4. Heat 1/2 cup oil/ghee and shallow/deep fry the kababs on medium heat from both sides until they become brown.
