Steps Of Cooking
- Heat oil in a large pot, add onion and fry until golden brown. Add the minced meat, Mehran Ouzi Spices and stir frequently until the meat is fully browned and cooked through.
- Mix vegetables and fry them for 2 – 3 minutes with the meat and onion mixture, then add Mehran Basmati Rice and pour the hot water on top.
- Boil on high flame for 5 minutes, then lower the flame. Steam for 15 – 20 minutes until all the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- Cut the puff pastry into 4 pieces. In a wide cup, brush oil and place the puff pastry and fill it with the ouzi rice and then fold each corner into the center.
- Flip over onto a nonstick tray, brush with egg mixture and bake at 180°C for 18 – 20 minutes till golden.
- Fry the nuts in a tablespoon of ghee in a small pan until golden, then pour on top of ouzi wrapped. Serve hot.
SERVING SUGGESTION:
Serve with cucumber and yogurt salad.
