STEPS OF COOKING
- Heat oil/ghee, fry onions until they become light golden. Add Chicken, Mehran Ginger & Garlic Paste, fry for 10 minutes until chicken becomes light golden.
- Add Mehran Chicken Biryani Masala and green chilies, fry for few seconds. Then add 2 cups of water. Cover and cook on low heat until chicken becomes tender. Now cook on high heat until oil separates.
- In a separate pan, add 8 – 9 glasses of water, 2 – 2½ tbsp of Mehran Salt and boil then add soaked Mehran Basmati Rice, when more than half rice is cooked, remove from heat and strain water.
- Spread rice and pour prepared masala in a pot in two layers. Cover and cook on low heat until rice becomes tender. Mix chicken biryani, cover and cook for further 5 minutes. Remove and serve hot.
To Enhance Taste
Add curry leaves and dried plum in step 1.
Alternatively, add one cup tamarind pulp (70g in 180ml water) in step 2.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with salad and raita.
Serving for 5 – 6 people. (1 packet 55g)
