Steps of cooking
- Soak Mehran Haleem Mix grain & pulses sachet with water for about 1 – 2 hours.
- Heat half cup oil, fry 1 sliced onion for 5 minutes. Add Mehran Ginger & Garlic Paste, meat and bones, fry for 4 – 5 minutes. Then add Mehran Haleem Mix masala sachet and fry well. Now add soaked grain and pulses with 6 – 8 glasses of water, cover and cook on low heat for 5 – 6 hours or until meat and grain becomes tender.
- Now take out bones and discard (if used). Then blend prepared meat, grain and pulses coarsely in blender. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 – 40 minutes.
- Heat the remaining oil, fry 1 sliced onion until it becomes golden. Now add in Haleem and cook for 10 minutes on low heat and remove.
Serving Suggestion
“Garnish with green chili, green coriander, mint, ginger julienne and fried onion. Serve with lemon juice and Mehran Chaat Masala. Serving for 5 – 6 people. (1 packet 300g)”
