Pakistani food is often spicy and rich, making it the favorite cuisine of many. Though Pakistani food can typically vary from region to region, there are a few favorites that are loved universally, and will likely never go out of style.

Chicken tikka pizza:

Chicken tikka pizzas are a tried and tested hit with many foodies. Not only are they delicious to have but also really easy to make. Follow the recipe below to make yours at home:

Ingredients:

12 ounces boneless, skinless chicken cut into halves

¾ tsp kosher salt

½ tsp chili powder

1 can unsalted diced tomatoes

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp grated peeled ginger

¼ tsp ground red pepper

3 garlic cloves minced

2 tbsp heavy whipping cream

4 (6-inch) whole wheat pitas

1/3 cup thinly sliced red onions

¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves

Green salad

1 packet mehran recipe mix with mentioned instructions

Instructions:

Cook the chicken with mehran tikka recipe mix (following instructions on the back).

Pulse the diced tomatoes until the sauce created is smooth. Oil the pan, add ½ tsp chilli powder, ginger, red pepper and garlic. Cook for up to a minute. Add tomatoes to the mixture and stir for 4 minutes. Add ½ tsp salt and cream. Cook for another minute. Cut chicken into pieces and add to the pan, then toss.

Place the pita on a baking sheet. Broil on each side for a minute. Add tomato mixture and ½ cup chicken on to each. Top with onion and cheese. Broil for another 2 minutes and garnish with cilantro.
